About Us
Greenside Children’s Centre opened in September 2004 as part of the Sure Start Neighbourhood Nursery Initiative.
Our Children’s Centre has been purpose built, and was co-designed by our Managing Director, Beverley Thompson, who has 33 years experience in Early Years education and 19 years experience in management settings.
We employ 23 staff members, which include a qualified teacher.
The nursery consists of a main building and an annexe (the annexe accommodates the Government funded children). In the main building we have 52 registered places (which includes Government funded flexible entitlement) for children aged between 0 - 5 years.
Greenside has two multifunction rooms that are used by the local community, to access services such as Baby Clinic. These rooms are freely accessible to the public, including the NHS LifeCheck Kiosk.
As the nursery classrooms are keypad entry only, the multifunction areas are in operation from 8.00am - 6.00m on a daily basis.
